Micheal Vick to Plead Guilty to State Charges, May Earn Early Release!

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Michael Vick plans to enter a plea next week on the state dogfighting charges he faces in Virginia, a court official told the Associated Press.

According to Surry County Circuit Court administrator Sally Neblett, a hearing has been scheduled for Oct. 30 on a motion to hear a plea from the imprisoned Falcons quarterback. The plea will be entered by video conference.

The Virginian-Pilot reported that Vick plans to plead guilty to the state charges in hopes of winning an early release from federal prison based on documents filed in Surry County Circuit Court. Vick is currently serving a 23-month sentence on felony charges related to dogfighting.

Surry County Commonwealth Attorney Gerald Poindexter previously announced he would not seek a trial date for Vick, and his three co-defendants, until they have served their federal time due to logistics and expense. The Virginia indictment charges Vick with one count of torturing and killing dogs and one count of promoting dogfighting. Each carries a maximum five-year prison term.

Citing court papers, the newspaper said Vick would enter a halfway house.

The newspaper said that Vick needs to resolve his state charges before he can be eligible for entry into a halfway house. Vick’s scheduled release date is July 20 and the soonest he could enter a program is six months before that.

the time is now...

yes.

it's 2008 and we are all glad to make it another year, right? Most of us are anyway, most of us 'regular people' cuz there are some important people who's lives were so drastically effected by the events in 2007 that they or we will never know what 2008 could have been.

This blog and forum is dedicated to Clifford "T.I." Harris & Michael Dwayne Vick.

Both turned 27-years-old in 2007 and both were at the peak of their careers at the time it was derailed.

The foolish general public will say, "Well, these niggas was dumb," but its really those who believe that somethings like this happened just the way the news said it who are dumb. People really just swallow and believe everything they see on TeeVee, people treat life like they're watching cartoons, just be animated, exaggerate as much as you can and hope people laugh so they'll like you. Anyway, with T.I., he was a victim of a snitch and a set-up, i heard the FEDS and they ATF rented out the Atrium and had a week-long party celebration when they got TiP. These bastards target the young, black, and successful men of hip-hop and entertainment because that's the only way they feel they truely affected something, but that affect they seek effects more people's lives than they realize.

As far as Vick goes, we're all gonna witness the revenge of Michael Vick in 2009, people. Why do people wish death on a young nigga just for killing some damn dogs? I mean, i would never murder a dog with my hands, but it'd be quite entertaining to watch naturally vicious dogs that the damn POLICE use to ATTACK PEOPLE, fight each other for once. Look, over 30,000,000 dogs die and are killed every year, but over 40,000,000 dogs are born and bred in that same time space. Sooo.... it sounds to me like if this is consistent, dogs ain't going no where, they aren't endangered, and all dogs are still great pets so we should keep taking care of them. My biggest problem with this whole ordeal is that there are people who show so much malice because they actually care and ADMIT to care more for dogs than for people....YOU PEOPLE ARE CRAZY! There is something wrong with your mind, if thats the case, that damn dog you own is more intelligent than you. Some people just aren't good with people and thats fine, but if you're not good with people cuz u are in love with a damn dog, then something is wrong with your life, simple and plain.

Anyway, we will see the liberation of T.I. and Mike Vick in the future, and this is just a little public support for them niggas, there are real people and this is not for any person's benefit, not even the men themselves, its for the situation that occured and for justice and liberty to all.

I think America was supposed to be something like that.
